Happy Halloween!!
Oh my goodness! Today the children had so much fun carving pumpkins with our parents! This was not only a Math lesson, it also involved science as well! They used sense of smell, sight and touch to describe their pumpkin. They estimated the number of seeds, the size (by cutting yarn), and the weight of the pumpkin. Then they actually weighed it, checked their yarn to see if it was long enough to go around the pumpkin, and counted the seeds. As a group, they decided on how the face should look, which took some compromising! Hehe All of the pumpkins turned out great!!
Thank you to all the parents that were able to come and help! This would not have been near as much fun (and successful) without you!!
